BASEEball & Co. is a nonprofit organization co-founded by Ryan Curl and Ronnie Dawson, two proud Black men whose lives were shaped by the game of baseball—and whose mission is to give that same opportunity to the next generation. United by a love for the game and a commitment to their community, Ryan and Ronnie launched BASEEball & Co. to bring training, mentorship, and resources to underprivileged and under-resourced youth across Central Ohio.

Our Mission

To build equity, access, and excellence in baseball by providing young athletes—regardless of background—with what they need to train, compete, and grow. We donate our time. We supply the gear. We offer real coaching, real mentorship, and real opportunities.

Because talent is everywhere—but opportunity is not.
And we’re here to change that.

What We Do

BASEEball & Co. is more than a nonprofit. It’s a movement to make baseball accessible and impactful for kids who need it most.

We offer:

✅ Free & low-cost baseball training in hitting, pitching, fielding, and athletic development
✅ 1-on-1 and group mentorship from current and former high-level players
✅ Access to equipment and gear (bats, gloves, cleats, training tools)
✅ Leadership & personal development to build confidence, character, and grit
✅ Inclusive programs that embrace diversity and reflect the communities we serve

We believe in creating more than athletes—we’re creating future leaders who learn how to compete, commit, and grow both on and off the field.

Our Home: The Lab

We’ve partnered with Curl’s Corner Hitting Lab ("The Lab") in Gahanna, Ohio, to provide a safe, welcoming, and elite-level facility where this mission can come to life. A portion of all proceeds from The Lab go directly to supporting BASEEball & Co., helping us expand our reach and serve more kids year-round.
